Reklame Fiskars – DIY Modern Pinwheels Made Easy
In collaboration with FISKARS I’m inviting you all to make this holiday season less stressful and much more fun and festive. Sound good, huh?
Therefore we’ve got your covered this season. From DIY ornaments, to modern table decorations and even showstopping holiday wreaths, there’s something here for just about everyone.
The Classic Scissor
Use the iconic Classic Scissors to make some cute holiday decor and why not use it for this DIY Modern Paper Craft. It’s so an easy holiday project and adorable to display.
Whether you are decorating for a holiday gathering, doing crafts with kids, decorating your front door or just want to get our own Christmas craft on, I think you’ll love this adorable option.
Modern Paper Pinwheels
Paper fan wheels are my absolute favourite, number one to make at Christmas time. They have so many uses and you can decorate them in so many ways too.
Did you see the previous FISKARS Christmas project – DIY Modern Holiday Paper Flowers? See a snippet below!
Ok, now ready to grab your Orange-handled Scissors? Great! Let’s get merry and crafty!
DIY Modern Paper Pinwheel Tutorial
Supplies:
Ruler
Double-sided adhesive tape
Optional; Stickers, metallic washi tape, ribbon or wire to hang the pinwheels on the tree
Step 1.
Use you ruler to measure and cut out three identical squares of paper (for these ones, I used 15 x 15 cm
Step 2.
Lay your squares flat on the table. Stick a length of washi tape to two sides of each square, then trim the edges of the tape.
Step 3.
Fanfold paper pieces – along back and forth like an accordion, the metallic edges should be at the top. Two pieces of accordion folded paper make up one pinwheel.
Step 4.
The next step is to fold your accordion paper in half at the center. Use double sided tape and stick your fan shape in place, and then repeat for the other two lengths.
Step 5.
Join the three fan shapes together into a circle and finish off with a sticker in the center of the pinwheel.
Now they’re ready to bedazzle your holiday!
Try making huge ones to hang on the wall. Or smaller ones used as gift toppers. You could string up a whole load of them into a festive holiday garland. Beautiful, right?
