DIY Modern Advent Decoration

Today I’m going to show you how you can create a unique and quite modern Advent decoration.

To me, the DIY Modern Advent Decoration play a huge part in making our home feel festive and inviting. So if you’re more into contemporary decorations, today’s DIY will be a special treat for you!

DIY Modern Advent Decoration Tutorial

Supplies

Fresh cut Anthurium/ Poinsettia flowers

Granite accent tray

Elephant wire

Reindeer moss preserved

Metal leaves

Pliers

4 candles

Anchor pins

Floral foam

Florist tape

Florist greening pins

All supplies from Plantorama

Step 1.

Start by wetting the floral foam. Place a piece of floral tape at each end of the tray, attach an anchor pin on each piece of tape. The anchor pins are used to secure the foam to the tray.

Step 2.

Gently press the floral foam down on the anchor pins and start covering the foam with moss, secure with greening pins.

Step 3.

Add four candles.

Step 4.

Cut all stems at a sharp angle, making a clean cut. Start adding Anthuriums.

Step 5.

Add Poinsettias and metal leaves and ready to…

1, 2, 3! Let’s blast some Christmas music, light some candles and bust out those Christmas decorations.

I simply can’t tell you how much I love the look of the Anthuriums, they’re such a fresh and festive touch to this year’s DIY Advent decoration, right?
