DIY Flower Cones – Festive Decor Made Easy

Today you’ll get a super easy idea that will instantly jump start your mood when you’re about to spread some love in a really special way.

After styling the shoot for the DIY Floral Suncatchers, I had a collection of beautiful flowers left over, lucky me right? Anyways this mix of wildflowers from the POSY Mark bouquet was to die for and just perfect for this wedding-inspired project.

Complement the beautiful flowers with delicate gift paper. As you can see I’ve opted for soft pastel colours and a design with a surprising pattern. It’s hard not to adorn the combo and they’d be perfect as wedding favours. A charming and thoughtful bid adieu for your guests.

Or use the sculptured paper cones for holding flowers at the edge of the church aisle, adorn wedding chairs with this sweet decor or use them as an elegant holder for your flower girl.

DIY Flower Cones Tutorial

Supplies:

Fiskars Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat & Ruler

Or a pair of scissors

Wrapping Paper

Paper Glue, not pictured

Furthermore:

Posy Flower Bouquet, Mark

Flower Stem Cutter

Floral Water Tubes

Step 1

Make sure each flower stem is properly cut, if not use the stem cutter to cut each stem at a 45-degree angle.

Step 2

Fill water in each tube. Bunch, pair and arrange your flowers with greenery.

Step 3

Try out some different designs, you can always add some greenery or flowers. Now put a water tube on the end of each bouquet.

Step 4

Start by cutting your paper into a 44 cm to 22 cm rectangle. A square shaped paper won’t give you the tall look.

Step 5

Roll the rectangle shaped paper along the shortest side to form a cone and secure with paper glue or double-sided tape.

Step 6

Fill the cones with your mini flower bouquets and you’re now ready to adorn your loved ones with a floral surprise! Simple but vibrant outcome right?
