DIY Geometric Bulletin Board Tutorial
Back to school season is here, and love it or hate it; getting organized is on the top of our agendas, am I right?!
But there's no reason why we can't make it a fun transition too! So I hope today's DIY Geometric Bulletin Board tutorial will inspire you to add a little flair and personal touch to your office or home space.
Oh, and did I mention it's a super easy DIY? Yep, we don't do complicated 'round here. You're welcome! ;)
Whether you're going back to school or college yourself, or just getting your own kids in the back to school routine, a bulletin board is one of those household necessities. And thankfully, with a little DIY magic (and I mean very little), they don't have to be so boring.
If you follow along on Instagram or Snapchat, you'd have seen the office makeover I embarked on (since last summer...). Yes, it's far from finished, but it's looking way better and this bulletin board is one of the first DIYs I embarked on, now sitting proudly in my office and helping me organize my brain before each party or photo shoot!
Check out the easy easy DIY steps below.
DIY Geometric Bulletin Memo Board Tutorial
Materials:* cork & wood bulletin board
* white acrylic paint
* paintbrush
* black electrical tape
* scissors
* ruler (optional)
Directions:
1) Paint your bulletin board with white acrylic paint. Go over with a smany coats as needed to cover the entire frame and cork areas.
2) Work out where you'd like to add your patterns and how big you want them to be.
3) Then cut strips of electrical tape and stick them on. If your tape is not too tacky, then apply a little glue to the back of the tape for good measure.
I went with a cross pattern so I started placing vertical stripes first, then just eye balled where the designs would be for the vertical stripes.
Simple, and infinitely more stylish than a simple cork board ;)
