Embellished Bobby Pins

This project is so quick and easy and you can use pretty much anything to make these sweet little embellished bobby pins.

I found some little mini paper flowers and jewels on clearance at Michaels for less than $1. It gave me the idea to dress up some bobby pins. You will also need some nail polish and a hot glue gun.

Begin by putting a piece of paper in between the bobby pins to hold them straight.  You want the flat side of the bobby pin up, because this is the side that is supposed to face up in your hair. And it’s easier to paint and attach things to the flat edge. (Most people put their bobby pins in upside down. I learned that tip from The Small Things Blog!)

Get your nail polish and begin painting a few coats. It will need to dry fully in between coats.

Next, just start attaching your embellishments. You can use pretty much anything!

And you are done! The girls both have enjoyed wearing these. They look so sweet.

These would make a cute little gift, or you could just slip one on a card as an extra treat!
